Agreeing to these terms
These terms cover your use of this website and any work you hire Sheridan Concrete to do. When you browse the site, ask for an estimate or book a job with us, you're agreeing to them, so please read them before you do.
If a signed estimate or contract for your job says something different from this page, the signed document wins for that job. If you have a question about anything here, contact us or call (307) 218-3106 before you book.
The work we do
Sheridan Concrete is a concrete contractor in Sheridan, WY. We build driveways, patios, sidewalks, steps, garage floors, slabs, footings, foundations, retaining walls and decorative and stamped concrete, and we do concrete cutting and foundation raising. You can read more about our crew on the about us page, and the home page lists every service we offer.
What the website says about our services is general information to help you plan. It isn't a promise about your job, because every yard, slab and soil condition is different. The scope of your job is whatever your written estimate or contract describes.
Estimates and pricing
We give free quotes on site, and there's no pressure to book. An estimate is based on what we can see and measure that day, like the size of the area, the thickness of the slab, the finish you want, access for the truck and what has to be torn out first.
Some things only show up once the old concrete is out and the ground is open, such as soft or wet subgrade, which is the soil the slab sits on, buried debris, old footings or roots. If we find something that changes the work or the price, we'll stop and talk with you first, and we won't do extra work you haven't agreed to.
An estimate is good for the length of time written on it. After that, material prices may have changed and we may need to update it.
Scheduling, weather and cancellation
We schedule your pour for a date we both agree on, but concrete depends on the weather. We won't pour in conditions that would weaken the slab, like freezing temperatures, heavy rain or extreme heat, so we may move your date, and we'll tell you as soon as we know.
New concrete needs time to cure, which is the wait while it hardens and gains strength before you walk or drive on it. We'll tell you how long to stay off your new work, and damage from using it early, including tire marks, footprints and cracking, isn't covered.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, let us know as early as you can. If you cancel after we've ordered materials, scheduled concrete or started work, you agree to pay for the materials and work we've already committed to, as your estimate or contract describes.
Your part of the job
You agree to give our crew safe access to the work area and to make sure you have the right to have the work done on the property. Please tell us about anything buried that public utility locators won't mark, such as sprinkler lines, private electric or gas lines, septic systems or drain pipes, because we can't be responsible for lines we weren't told about.
Some jobs may need a permit or have to meet city, county or neighborhood rules. Before work starts, we'll talk with you about what applies to your job and who's handling it.
Payment terms
Your estimate or contract sets out what's due, when it's due and how you can pay, including any deposit before we order materials. Final payment is due when the work is finished as described, unless your contract says otherwise.
If a payment is late, we may pause work until it's settled and add reasonable collection costs where Wyoming law allows. If you think something on an invoice is wrong, call us before the due date and we'll go over it with you.
Our guarantee and what it doesn't cover
We're licensed and insured, and we stand behind our work. Satisfaction is guaranteed, so if something we did isn't right, call us and we'll come out, look at it and talk through how to fix it. Any written warranty for your job is spelled out in your contract.
Concrete can crack, even when it's done right. We cut control joints, which are planned grooves that give the slab a place to crack in a straight line instead of at random, and we pack the base so the slab doesn't settle with the dirt. Small hairline cracks, slight color differences and normal surface wear are part of how concrete behaves and aren't defects.
We also can't cover damage from things outside our control, such as ground movement, frost heave, poor drainage elsewhere on the property, de-icing salt, heavy vehicles the slab wasn't built for, tree roots, or changes and repairs made by someone else. Apart from what we promise in writing, our work and this website are provided without other warranties, as far as Wyoming law allows.
Limits on our liability
If something goes wrong with work we did, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us for that work, as far as the law allows. We aren't responsible for indirect losses, like lost use of the property, lost income or the cost of a hotel or rental while work is underway.
Nothing on this page limits any right you have that Wyoming law says can't be waived.
Using this website
The words, photos and design on this site belong to Sheridan Concrete, and you may not copy them for commercial use without our permission. We try to keep the site accurate, but it may contain mistakes or out-of-date information, and you shouldn't rely on it in place of an on-site estimate.
If you send us your information through our contact form, we use it to answer you and to handle your job.
Settling a disagreement
If you're unhappy with anything, call us at (307) 218-3106 or reach us through our contact page first. Most problems get sorted out quickly once we're standing at the job together, and we'll respond within one business day.
If we can't settle it between us, either of us may take it to a court in Sheridan County, Wyoming.
Governing law
These terms, and any work we do for you, are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted here is the one that applies. Changes won't affect a job you've already signed for unless we both agree in writing.
